FC Barcelona Ready for First Fixture at Renovated Camp Nou on Saturday
The club confirmed they are set to host at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou over the weekend. The club will host the Basque side in domestic competition 30 months since relocating for construction to commence.
“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Not all seats will be available but 45,401 spectators can be present under the licence granted. Once fully finished, the stadium’s capacity will reach almost 105,000 spectators, a rise from the old capacity. Barça announced recent additions comprise a renovated tunnel for players along with upgraded changing facilities.
Stadium Testing
Barça organized a public practice inside the stadium earlier this month. Officials stated approval is being pursued from European football’s governing body to play their next home Champions League game versus the German side in December at the stadium. Their recent games have been held at Estadio OlĂmpic LluĂs Companys.
