The Miami Heat scored eighty-six opening half points versus the Memphis Grizzlies

Miami Heat earned a crushing 146 to 114 win over the Memphis Grizzlies in their first NBA match since player Terry Rozier was arrested over alleged illegal gambling.

Trail Blazers coach Billups was additionally detained as part of a sweeping FBI probe into sports betting. The two individuals deny the allegations.

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver 'Disturbed' by Arrests

Addressing the arrests for the first time, NBA commissioner Silver stated he was "very upset" by the events of the past few days.

"Nothing is more critical to the NBA and its fans than the integrity of the competition," he informed Amazon Prime. "And so I had a pit in my stomach. It was disturbing."

Silver further said an league probe into Rozier's conduct in March 2023, when there was "unusual wagering" in a game he participated for the Hornets against the Pelicans, discovered no wrongdoing.

"We were informed by the authorities and the betting companies," he continued.

"We investigated the matter and were open regarding it. And while there was that aberrational betting, we, frankly, couldn't find anything.

"Federal authorities has subpoena power... [it] can threaten to put people in jail, can take various actions that the league office is unable to.

"Therefore, we've been working with them from that point. And, of course, what they announced yesterday was an indictment.

"Moreover two and a half years later, he has not been found guilty of any offense, in justice to Terry.

"Obviously, it doesn't look good, but he's been suspended, and so it is a balance in this case between upholding rights and conducting an inquiry."
