Plane Transporting Pete Hegseth Required to Land in UK Due to Crack in Windshield

An aircraft ferrying the US defense secretary was compelled to make an unscheduled landing in the UK on Wednesday following a fracture was discovered in the aircraft's cockpit window, according to an official statement which verified that the secretary was unharmed.

"The plane landed in accordance with standard procedures and all individuals on the flight, including Pete Hegseth, is safe," a press officer commented in a social media post.

He was traveling back from a short visit to the Belgian capital when the incident occurred.

This occurrence isn't the first occasion that a American defense plane carrying a senior official has encountered mechanical issues.

In a previous incident this year, a United States Air Force aircraft ferrying Marco Rubio to Munich was forced to return to the US capital after experiencing a mechanical problem.
