History of Incidents
Since the onset of the large-scale conflict in Ukraine, a number of Russian military officials have been subjected to assaults within Moscow.
This most recent event echoes other notable incidents, including:
- General Yaroslav Moskalik was died in a automobile blast in Moscow earlier this year.
- General Igor Kirillov perished in late 2024 when a explosive placed on a scooter was detonated remotely.
While a Ukrainian source previously linked Kirillov's death to Ukraine's security service, such claims are never officially confirmed as a matter of official stance.
The conflict has been marked by clandestine operations reaching into the streets of the Russian capital.
The probe into General Sarvarov's death is still active.
