Rock Climbing in the Peak District
Even complete novices will quickly be scaling sheltered Peak District crags on this weekend course. This historic hillside village, a ancient white village in southern Spain, about a short drive from Granada, is the breathtaking location for this art retreat. Painters of every skill level – including beginners – will discover how to plan and create modern art. A portion of the time will be spent outdoors, working on structured activities en plein air. These initial sketches and paintings will then be expanded upon in the studio, with participants completing a number of interpretive scenes in acrylics to be exhibited in the village. The group has sole use of the venue, which is centered on an open courtyard and has a sun terrace with panoramic vistas over the hills. The price includes five days of art instruction; all meals; and an excursion to the nearby fortress and other local sights.

Vegetarian Culinary in the Algarve
This Mediterranean culinary holiday, located at a riverside villa in the inland Portuguese region, is draws inspiration from the plant-based cuisine of renowned chefs. Participants will master the art of meze spreads, attend a hands-on falafel session, perfect brunch dishes such as shakshuka, and make substantial main courses including a rich mushroom stew and moussaka. The schedule includes visits to the local market and a local vineyard to taste local vintages, plus free time for walks by the Funcho River, to unwind on the terrace or swim in the infinity pool. This coastal town is the ideal spot for a maritime music retreat. Guests will learn historic sailing songs from a experienced musician, and try their hand at writing their own.
