The young golfer will have numerous high-profile cheerleaders when she begins her first LPGA appearance this Thursday.

This teenage golfer, who happens to be connected to a former US president, was granted a sponsor's invitation to play at Florida's Annika event in Florida.

The former president, someone who loves golf, possesses multiple international courses and regularly matches against his granddaughter.

"He's pretty good. I can't reveal details but we have some close matches," she revealed.

She mentioned that her grandfather, unable to come, advised her: "Just stay calm."

"My grandpa practically told me to compete and have fun," she continued.

"In my eyes, he's simply a regular grandfather. He can't make it this weekend. He's busy with world affairs, making him rather occupied."

As an amateur, Kai has played in just three tournaments recently and maintains the 461st position in AJGA standings.

However she can receive tips from golf legend, who is dating Kai's mother.

"He stands as the best player in the world," Kai expressed.

"Additionally, he's a superior individual. He told me to compete, relax, and go with the flow."

The golfer will compete against several top competitors in women's golf at the Annika, including second-ranked Nelly Korda, England's golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.

The LPGA mentioned that involving Kai helps introduce the sport to wider groups, particularly reaching younger fans.

The young star maintains millions of followers and has started her own fashion and living company.

She begins at 17:30 GMT.
