Two Individuals Accused Over Heathrow ‘Pepper Spray’ Attack
Two individuals are now facing charges in connection with a luggage theft where a suspected capsaicin spray led to people being hurt at the major London air hub.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two robbery charges and two counts of deploying a toxic agent, as confirmed by court officials.
The charges follow an investigation into an attack at the parking structure at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Earlier that day, two female travelers had their suitcases stolen after getting out of a car park lift, police said.
A three-year-old girl was one of the people hurt in the event. Five people required hospital care and were later discharged.
The incident – which authorities stated was not part of a series and deemed non-terroristic – resulted in disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport road tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a limited duration.
